-Requires daily intake of Celebre to stay alive, ironically the same drug is also slowly killing him.
-Perhaps has another six or so years to live, likely showing early signs of widespread organ damage.
-Deaf since birth, can read lips, sign and speak.
-Heavily scarred all over his body. The largest starts at his right hip and extends passed his midriff, others on his arms are smaller but vary in age, the oldest appearing as if they were treated by someone who only had the barest concept of stitches.
☆ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Drug abuse, mostly. His past contains a lot of violent and graphic imagery, including child abuse and mass murder but that's not likely to come up.

☆ ANYTHING ELSE? Nicolas is completely deaf, born that way, never has heard a sound in his life and never will. He's entirely reliant on lip reading to understand anyone, and only is familiar with lip reading English and some Japanese as a spoken language.

He primarily communicates using sign language (JSL in the manga, but for RP purposes I often defer to ASL because A. I'm more familiar with it and B. Resources on JSL that are in English are very scarce and I'm not gonna pretend to be fluent in Japanese) but can speak and will if absolutely necessary. That said, he goes to a lot of effort not to and gets visibly annoyed about having to. It takes a lot of effort and clearly sounds disjointed and rough, though the words themselves are discernible. GANGSTA reflects his spoken tone and pitch lIKe So, whICh iS nOT VerY fUN To ReAd. Sign language is also communicated differently, like this.

THAT SAID, while Nic's ability to lip read is top notch, if people are speaking quickly or in a language he's not familiar with that makes things difficult. So if you could fill this out to give me an idea of what to expect while interacting with your character, and whether you'd rather opt out of text quirks that'd be awesome!

Do you want to opt out of any of the above text quirks? i should be okay with the sign language! i'll have to see how lengthier messages look on this phone, but i'll update this if that changes :>
Anything else you wanna add? in the event they talk during a time when akira can use verbal speech (i.e. during rainstorms or in the reset room), he has a habit of twisting his bangs, which could block the view of his mouth. i'm always vague on the details regarding the position of his arm versus his mouth, but i'm okay with you saying it blocked nicholas' view!
